ZUT is an island in the Kornati Archipelago, between the islands of Pasman and Kornat; the highest peak Gubavac (176 m). The coasts of the island are steep and very well indented; numerous coves (Luka, Zut, Hiljaca, Saruscica, Bizikovica, Pinizel, Bodovac, etc.) provide anchorage for fishing boats and other smaller vessels.
Beside smaller plots of arable land (olives, fig trees, wine), the island is mainly covered with underbrush; holm oaks and strawberry trees are found in places. There are no permanent settlements on the island; the houses scattered on the island serve as temporary abodes for fishermen and the inhabitants of Murter, who own olive-groves and vineyards on the island, while sheep are kept in them during the winter.
Beside several houses, which are inhabited on a temporary basis, there is also an ACI Marina on the island, with 120 berths. The entire region surrounding the island, is just ideal for all kinds of water sports and recreation.
